THANKS to all of you for saving your General Mills Box Tops!  Our school recently received a check in the amount of $1802.80 from General Mills for box tops, which had been mailed in.  This money will be used to support Emerson students in a variety of ways.  Keep them coming!!

When your child is unable to attend school, please contact the school office at 762-4093.  We are required by the State Department to designate the reason children are absent from school.  Each day your child misses school, he/she misses one day of instruction in the classroom.  Please have your child in school everyday, (and on time) unless illness prevents it. 

Parent/teacher conferences will be held on Monday, February 13^th.    These second semester conferences will be with your child’s reading teacher.  This is not only a great opportunity to learn more about your child’s strengths in reading, but also a time to learn more about the program and ask any questions you may have.  Please plan to attend!!  If you wish to also visit with your child’s homeroom teacher, please contact her to set up a separate time to conference.   And, if you would like transportation to and from the conference, just let the office know!
